It sounds worth it just to respect the act of eating again. When are you going to irrigate your colon for another intersting post?

So we gave papacitos two more visits, just to be fair since it's "being revamped"....we went on Cinco de mayo. We were happy to see not all the resident staff had been let go. Thank you Matt and Trish for your service. So we order off brunch menu, ten minutes later, the kitchen switched to the cinco de mayo menu, so we switched our order. We all got the shrimp special. Ten minutes later that special had been pulled off the menu. So we had to reorder a third time. And when the food came out it ended up being our original brunch order.?! Mind you, it was not crowded at that point in the day. We laughed and weren't even upset..just thought wow! These people are going to have a long day. As usual though we did have to ask and wait for silverware and napkins. For some reason they never give you any....?? The music was awesome, the food was good! Even our service was good, mostly because we know the staff and tip heavy. But its clear there its internal issues with management. It's always a different story with the checks. So we were told we had to give credit cards for each check. No problem. That server was going off duty, we all paid up and started a new tab. Or so we thought. End of night comes and its all on one check. No problem...but make a rule and stick to it. So after all that, we still go back last night and we ask for seperate checks and they say sure, then switch servers on us and give us a hard time. Tell us we can seperate it at end??? Manager did offer to buy round of shots which we declined...we will not be back nor will we be frequenting Royal or Standard.

Hi Jen & Co - Thank you for the post! We're excited over here. I really appreciate the props, but I can only take one ounce of the credit. Community Markets, a company that's managed farmers markets for over twenty years, is behind this. I just put up a lil' petition ... it was the wild winds of local food demand that got the flames going. (haha - work with me on this analogy...)

I look forward to seeing you and all our Greenpoint/East Williamsburg neighbors at McGolrick and Cooper Parks this season. Cheers! - Nicole

I also went to the show and it's one of my favorite shows I have seen in Greenpoint in a while. The space is tiny, claustro and sweaty, but if you wait everyone out, eventually there was about 20 people standing outside, then it's a nice intimate space to look at artwork that you really want to stick your nose in. We did about 3-4 walks around the room and each time saw new things in each work. I like how technically undeveloped the artist's hand is, it adds to the imaginative and emotional connection I had with the work. A swans head inside-out on a man's shoulder will never really be that so why draw it to perfection? I might stalk the show a few more times.
